以下是HoME12，LAST WRITINGS里面关于曼威允许金花重生原因的原段。

More important: Glorfindel had sacrificed his life in defending the fugitives from the wreck of Gondolin against a Demon out of Thangorodrim,and so enabling Tuor and Idril daughter of Turgon and their child Earendil to escape, and seek refuge at the Mouths of Sirion. Though he cannot have known the importance of this (and would have defended them even had they been fugitives of any rank), this deed was of vital importance to the designs of the Valar.

尽管他跟随图尔巩离开维林诺，因而触犯禁令，但他离开时并不情愿。他离开只是因为是图尔巩的族人并曾对他宣誓效忠，他未参与Alqualonde的亲族杀戮。

更重要的是：格洛芬德尔为了保护冈多林城陷落时的难民，与来自Thangorodrim的恶魔作战并牺牲。他的行为给图奥、图尔巩之女伊缀尔和他们的孩子埃雅仁迪尔赢得时机逃至Sirion河口避难。尽管他不可能得知其意义（而且无论他们来自什么阶层，都会提供保护），他的举动在维拉的计划中有极大的意义。

1.曼威允许金花重生的原因有三。

①金花出奔不为反抗维拉，而是要跟着宅熊；

②金花没参与天鹅港杀亲；

③最重要的是，他杀炎魔的举动无意中保护了图尔一家，给他们逃跑的机会，让事态发展符合维拉的计划。

2.金花除了跟随宅熊离开维林诺之外别的什么都没干，冈多林陷落时保护无数平民，最终战死。但是到曼威拉清单的时候什么都比不上“enabling Tuor and Idril daughter of Turgon and their child Earendil to escape”，原因是这事“ of vital importance to the designs of the Valar”。

3.做精灵的要义是安分守己，维拉让你干什么你就干什么，否则不会有好下场。
